A major investment and wealth management firm, operating across multiple business units, sought a solution to create a modern desktop experience that would enhance interoperability, streamline workflows, and promote consistency across teams. Solution: A Modular and Dynamic Desktop Framework

To address these goals, interop.io worked with the client to build a modular and unified desktop experience using the io.Connect Desktop, io.Manager, and io.Insights solutions. The objective was to create a platform that would enable associates to access relevant, contextually appropriate information without navigating between separate applications.

This involved:

  • Create a unified desktop experience across front, middle and back office where information pulled up on the screen is contextually based on dynamic events (such as a client record).
  • Decompose existing .NET monolith system so it can load different screens without reloading the whole app.
  • Write new Angular complimentary screens (apps/widgets), for example showing the advisor the next best possible action.

Outcome

The implementation of this solution resulted in a cohesive framework that streamlines associate tools and content. A Center of Enablement was established that promotes reuse, encourages collaboration, and enables teams to adopt a shared approach to building and deploying new digital capabilities.

Key outcomes include:
