interop.io Celebrates FINOS Gold Membership
Our commitment to FDC3 standards continues as we announce our next-level membership advancement.
At interop.io, we are thrilled to announce our elevation to Gold Membership status within the Fintech Open Source Foundation (FINOS). This milestone is a testament to our unwavering commitment to FDC3, open source collaboration, and innovation within the financial services industry. Our journey with FINOS began in 2017, and today, as a Gold member, we intend to further our contributions and leverage the extensive benefits included in the Gold membership.
A Commitment to Open Standards
Dan Schleifer, President and Co-Founder of interop.io, said: “We’ve been an active participant and member of FINOS since 2017 and are proud to be upgrading to a Gold membership. As a firm, we continue to invest heavily in open standards and lead the FDC3 working groups.
“FINOS is the key that unlocks collaboration across open source and open standards inside the financial services industry.” – Dan Schleifer, President and Co-founder, interop.io
Our involvement in FINOS has always been driven by a passion for fostering interoperability and collaboration in financial technology. The FDC3 (Financial Desktop Connectivity and Collaboration Consortium) working group (of which we are lead maintainers) epitomizes this mission. FDC3 is pivotal in enabling universal communication between financial applications. This not only enhances operational efficiency but also drives innovation and agility within the industry.
Additionally, interop.io Director, Platform Consulting Kris West is heavily involved in FINOS. “Kris West is the lead maintainer of FDC3,” said Rob Moffat, Senior Technical Architect at FINOS. “He chairs many meetings in the FDC3 community, providing guidance and leadership on where the standard should go, all while doing the legwork of improving the FDC3 standard through pull requests or comments on commits.”
“We are very happy with the level of involvement of interop.io, and we hope that will continue into the future.” – Rob Moffat, Senior Technical Architect, FINOS
Kris West said: “interop.io supported FDC3 pretty much from the outset. We were involved in the original definition of it, and we worked heavily with FINOS over the last few years to help promote it and develop resources around it, like the training platform and the certification. Increasing our membership tier to gold is really a natural extension of that.”
